Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Block Mechanic: Slimed block faces

This idea is fairly simple. To make slimeballs more useful, and to give them more use in redstone (not that they don't have a huge influence already), and to add a very interesting redstone mechanic, you should be able to place a slimeball onto the side of blocks. That side of the block will now be sticky, just like slime blocks, but all the other sides would stay normal. This I think would make redstone doors a lot simpler/nicer looking, while using less resources.

    Was just looking at an insane 8x8 piston door and felt my brain break from how much interchanged crap is needed.

    Slimed block faces would simplify the process by a huge margin, allowing people to build big doors without it taking months.

    yeah this would be REAAAAAALLLY helpful. having to place obsidian or other things to make sure it won't destroy my builds is annoying.
