Teleportation between beacons as a secondary beacon option

One of most prohibitive things about Minecraft survival multiplayer is distance. Nether hubs are amazing community projects for this, but some places are so prohibitively far even for nether transportation that it may not be worth it to connect them. Some terrain looks amazing to build bases in, but it may just be too far to connect to the nether hub, leaving your base inaccessible to other players.

To not replace nether hubs for close-range transportation, it needs to be expensive. A great solution to this is beacon teleportation. Beacons are great, but they feel like they are missing something in my opinion, and teleportation is perfect for them. This would require two fully upgraded beacons, and "teleportation" would be an alternative to the other secondary beacon options. Maybe this could even work between dimensions if that wouldn't be too difficult to implement. 

I think that like the nether hub, this would make for amazing community projects. Donating ore to allow for that one super far off player to connect to the server's community is the perfect project.

    This is a good idea I have just started playing nether update and the new content is a long walk away it would be really cool if you could name your beacons and the teleport between them nether>overworld, overworld>end,end>nether.

    Tieing this into beacons I think is a great approach because you only really start to need this when you have been playing for sometime and beacons are hard to obtain so new players will still need to explore.
