Canopy Generation: The First Layer

See: The Canopy

Wet Grass covers the flat expanse of the First Layer of the Canopy. Patches of Quicksand are also dotted around the layer. Giant flowers made of Flower Blocks grow out of the ground. Small chunks of stone will be generated, potentially with special ores on the inside. There are areas covered in sunlight, and areas completely shadowed. Giant Toucans fly above the ground, which attack any Ant Scouts that get too close when hunting. The gigantic trees of the Second Layer are planted in this layer.

    Wow! It looks like you put a lot of work into this idea. I look forward to seeing the main post after it's approved so I can vote on it. I personally think this would work better not as a dimension, but a biome that can be found a ways from spawn.
