Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

This is definitely missing.  The wheel is one of the oldest inventions to mankind.

What could we do with wheels?

Carts - attach to horses for railless travel with multiple chests

Pulleys - a wheel can be an ingredient in pulleys.  Attach a chest to a pulley to hoist up when mining deep.

Boats - a wheel could be used when crafting larger boats (which Minecraft is considering)

Anyone else have a use for a wheel (that does not include engines)?

Crafting - a wheel can be made of wood, stone or iron (maybe even netherite).  Attach with a second to a stick or iron to make an axle which could be used for a cart.

The wheel could also be used to create a covered wagon - think of a boat on wheels that is covered so you can have a bed and a chest for exploring.  It'd also be a good way to tether a horse and not have it wander.

A wheel should provide a good foundation for gears as well, along with rollers, belts, and the lathe.

I think this a great idea. Could be used for carts which could be ridden like a boat when attached to a horse, donkey, or mule like a saddle, or you could place chests in them like a donkey. A good way to craft it might be 8 sticks around 1 plank in a crafting table. Could be used for other things too like a wagon, or covered wagon which would make traveling and exploring much much easier. I would make the cart a bit bigger than the boat, and the wagon 2x6. I would also make the option for the wagon to hook it up to several horses for faster travel.

Here's some of my ideas in how to make the wheel work. -
Any block or item that is placed on the wheel (maybe just the sides. U could probably use 2 fences on the side of wheel and attach the ride on the fence) stays on until u remove it. That would include wheels allowing wheels to connect as one big wheel. Have the wheel to be able to go up or down one block. And have a arrow on the wheel that is pointing in the direction that the wheel is going. Activating the wheel will make it and everything that is attached to it (or maybe only the ones that r attached on the sides of the wheel) move in the activated wheel's direction. Wheel can move on water but it will move VERY slowly. Wheel cannot go over fences. Wheel can be pushed or pulled (pulled by lead that's attached to fence on wheel) also.

If we're gonna do this, adding glue to keep blocks together maybe necessary! The wheel could be its own update theme cause I mean some other stuff like glue is needed!

Fantastic idea. The ability to build a small base on wheels and use animals to pull it around would be awesome. It would have to be relatively slow moving a require flattish ground. Perhaps it could be tied to a wheelright villager profession who sells the wheels.
