Implementing a Minecraft Encyclopedia and Why

MC is filled with all kinds of crazy things but to new and veterans alike, there are some things they don’t understand.

Reason why we need one 

MC has mechanics/features/gimmicks hidden from the player that don’t need to be. 

Self-Explanatory Guide/Tutorial 

Decrease confusion 

Don’t need to look at wiki!

So how will this encyclopedia look like? 

Minecraft really doesn’t have a tutorial (it doesn’t need one) but this feature can “teach” players things. 

The encyclopedia can have multiple sections 

Mobestiary 

Crafting Tree 

Biomes 

Enchants, Redstone, potions should have sections too.

Mobestiary 

A section dedicated to mobs. It’ll have a sketch of the mob and info like drops, variants, unique traits, rarity, spawn (light lvl + Biome) 

Crafting Tree 

Can be similar to the crafting book but with branches like a “skill tree”. 

The page will describe the item, how to obtain it /it’s spawn, common uses, rarity and what it was crafted from/can be crafted into. Click on what it can be crafted into will take you to that item page. 

Biomes 

There are over 60 different Biomes. Some are rare and some have exclusive stuff. This page should give a brief description, state its rarity, common/exclusive mobs, items, feature and variants.
