Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Potions and Beacons

Potions and Beacons both give specific effects but I feel like there should be more to these blocks/items. So here’s what I’m thinking. When drinking a potion of that same effect to a Beacon you get a leveled up effect. Here’s an example:

 

You have the Beacon set for Speed 2 but you then drink a Speed 2 Potion. You will get Speed 4 for the same amount of time for a Speed 2 Potion but when you’re out of range of the Beacon that upgrade will disappear turning the effect back to level 2. The time limit will not be affected at all when this happens.

    Maybe only leveled up one level, like combing enchantments does. So if you drink speed 2 when you have speed 2 beacon, you get speed 3.

    How about a beacon affect to prolong potion affects?
