In the Beacons settings it shows that you can put down 1 Iron, Gold, Emerald, or 1 Diamond. That’s great but why would the player be given these options when they could just use 1 Iron Ingot that’s cheaper? I’ve found a way to upgrade the Beacons settings so that it makes more sense.
Iron: The Iron can be used to get the regular effect. Simple.
Gold: The Gold can be used to increase the time limitation on the effect.
Emerald: The Emerald can be used to increase the effects tier(so tier 2).
Diamond: The Diamond will be used to increase the block range of the effects.
Now I know this seems to be OP but it’s actually not if you think about it. It would be OP if the player uses this Beacon upgrade in one spot but say that they want to go for a quick mining trip, they would have to move the Beacon which would get rid of all the tiers and they would have get the materials again to max it out just like the Beacon in the present day.
If you think this shouldn’t be in game I understand but I know that Mojang is gonna be doing something with Beacons settings because who would want to use a Diamond instead of Iron? Let me know what you think in the comment section below and if you do want to see this in game, please give it a vote. Thank you.
