All of Minecraft's weapons are great, but they all feel basic by now, and with the next major update being about combat, I believe we can use another unique weapon.
The Nether Mace is a giant flail with a spiky ball shaped like a wither skeleton skull. It grants the player unique abilities to throw enemies and other players and deal spread damage. These maneuvers not only sound fun to use but can also easily change the view of the battlefield with multiple mobs and/or players.
Gameplay:
- left-click for simple melee damage
- right-click to toss ball like a fishing rod
- if the ball lands on a mob or player, you can reel the star back and carry the mob/player. You can then right-click again to toss the victim to a desirable direction, dealing damage to the victim and any other mobs/players who are hit by the projectile.
- hold right-click to launch the star from distance like a bow. The ball creates an environmentally friendly explosion, damaging any mob or player nearby.
- After using this attack, you must retrieve the star by collecting it like any item before using any of the attacks mentioned before.
Being a somewhat overpowered weapon, however, getting this weapon must either consume rare items or be found as a reward from a difficult challenge.

I hope that this idea is implemented in Minecraft as it adds a new element of gameplay and a challenge for the combat system.
