Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Make Elder Guardians drop ingredients for the Trident.

I think the Elder Guardians have no real reward for the challenge they set up for you. The 3 sponges you can get by their drops isn't that special when most Monuments have a room filled with them. Make each Elder Guardian, upon killed, have a chance of dropping a part of the Trident, which you can put together once you have killed enough Elder Guardians and collected all the pieces.

Along with this change I would take the trident away from the drowned, or at least the chance of them dropping it. The drowned make the Trident farmable, that lowers the value of it. When they're only obtainable if you raid multiple Ocean Monuments you get rid of the farm aspect and make them more valuable and really more of an end-game item.

    I think it should be a guaranteed drop as a reward for conquering the monument. Maybe drowned armed with tridents should still be able to drop it, albeit with a lower chance

    The trident can be very powerful, so it would make sense if it were a little harder to acquire. Maybe instead of having so many materials, though, the three that spawn naturally (if I’m right) all drop a broken piece of the trident.

    They should definitely be limited to ocean monuments. Ocean monuments used to be relevant if you wanted to build underwater because sponges were the only "efficient" way to get rid of water source blocks. Conduits destroyed the need to do that. And tridents are such versatile weapons they really should be harder to get.
