This is a great idea! It’s the little details that people don’t realize that makes the better game

    Good idea that improves gameplay.

Amazing idea. I never would have thought of this but yeah this would make the game better even if it’s just a small thing!

I suggested this to a friend a few years back, but then never considered again until I saw someone had made a mod for it today. Definitely a feature that needs to be added in some capacity, either with feather falling, or maybe its own enchant? Farm speed/safety?

We ABSOLUTELY need this in the game. And it makes so much sense when you think about it!

I hadn't thought about this but it would make the game feel so much more well rounded

But isn't that the purpose of the slow falling potion?

Plus, the same would be true of mobs wearing feather falling boots. This would likely add some redstone possibilities, such as randomizers that only emit a redstone pulse when a zombie lands on farmland and turns it into dirt.

I did not know I needed this, but I absolutely do. Please, and thank you.

I feel like it should be 50% of trampling for lvl 1, 33% for lvl 2, etc. and for the highest level to be 0% chance of trampling.

    I think the best will be: I - 33% chance, II - 66% chance, III - 100% chance

I get why this is a popular suggestion. Not the first time I’ve heard it. Trampling your crops can be annoying. But Feather Falling is meant to protect the player. In fact, that’s the purpose of all armor enchantments - protect the player against damage and environment debuffs. I would say the player trampling crops doesn’t fit under that umbrella. Armor isn’t meant to protect the environment from yourself.

I do think Master Villagers should be smart enough to not trample their own crops though.

Having small details like this are amazing in games, as it shows attention to detail. It makes sense, and should definitely be a feature

This would certainly be a QOL improvement.

I like this idea but only as long as the distance fallen does not cause ANY fall damage, otherwise it would mean the fall is still to hard and can trample crops.

I think this feature is completely logical, and would absolutely improve the game

I’m surprised this wasn’t considered and implemented long ago.

My suggestion would be instead of it being chance based RNG based on the level of enchantment, instead have it be based on how many blocks were fallen. Level one of feather falling can fall maybe 3 or 4 blocks without trampling, max level maybe 11 or 12 blocks. If it were to be RNG it may help make it less frustrating, but will still be frustrating overall when you fall a short distance on the crops themselves.
