Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

“Ore Seeking” Enchantment

A new pickaxe enchantment that could help in low light level environments/under stone. This new enchantment is what I call “Ore Seeking”, similar to the glowing effect given to mobs via the arrow on PC, this enchantment makes ores “glow” when a player is within vicinity. When the ore is within sight of the player, the glowing effect range would be 4 blocks long, it would increase by 3 blocks for every “Tier” the enchantment has (I.E Ore Seeking I, Ore Seeking II, Ore Seeking III). Ores can also be seen under stone, but that range is limited to 2 blocks by Ore Seeking I, and will increase by 1 block for every “Tier” it has. This enchantment I believe should only have 3 tiers, because if this effect would be able to go higher, the ores glowing under the stone would become too broken. This effect can not be paired with Fortune in my eyes. Instead if someone would want to see ore and have Fortune, they would have to have separate picks for the doing. Thanks for reading...

    I think this is a great idea. Maybe if Mojang adds a cave update this could be implemented. I like the overall concept is cool but I have a few additions. Maybe instead of being an enchantment, ore-finding could be a staff or a potion. I'm a long-time terraria player, and no matter what people say, I think the ore mechanics are great in that game. In terraria, there is an item called the spelunker potion, and it gives a sparkle to any ores in the player's field of view. Of course, this mechanic is easier to implement in a 3rd person game like terraria, but I've got a few ideas. 

    1. How it would work

    The potion would be called Ore Vision and it would have a 2-3 minute duration. When drank, the player's field of view would be significantly dimmed, giving a dangerous consequence for drinking the potion. Any ores in a 3 block radius (could be tweaked) would sparkle. If the ore was blue, the sparkle would be blue, etc. The duration and effect of the potion can't be altered (no Ore-Vision 2) 

    2. Where would you find it?

    This potion would be a great addition if Mojang released a cave update. The potion would be brewed with a new material only found in caves, giving people a reason to go cave-mining. The material could be a mold or a fruit only found in caves. The material would be rare to find, so it justifies the potion's usefulness.

    I think just 1 level of enchantment would work, where all ores are having "Emisssive texture overlay". To make it more balanced, meaby make it super rare [found only in dungeons or even end cities]
