Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Instead of just putting the bark back on you should have to craft the stripped log with the bark and a slime ball.

please, minecraft... I build houses with a large majority of logs, Im usually holding an axe and I've gotta keep spare logs in my inventory at all times because I keep missclicking doors, chests, etc.

I often fight with axes these days since swords Sweep Attack keep damaging entities I don't want to hurt. (Sweep Attack, though, is being made optional soon so that's nice)

This sounds like a good idea. Accidentally stripping logs is super irritating!

I'm also a player who used to prefer having an axe in hand, but had to change my play style to prevent unintentional stripped logs. A simple way to un-strip a log would be a welcome addition.

With simplicity in mind, do not make it a crafting recipe (especially not with slime), and having multiple bark types also seems counter-productive. It should be a simple matter of, oops, then picking up the bark item and right-clicking back into place.

Although honestly, I think it was a terrible idea to make an axe the default tool for stripping. I've been annoyed with this since it was implemented (and I'm not alone). If a different tool was used, like shears, it would be much less of a problem (I doubt many players walk around with shears in hand).

I've been trying to figure out how the change the default stripping behavior with a data pack, but the solution has eluded me.

Honeycomb is used to prevent copper from ageing, maybe honeycomb could also be used on logs to prevent them from being stripped.
