Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Modified Emeralds

We need 2 types of emerald:perfect and imperfect.

Imperfect emeralds are used for villager trading and can be traded for or mined. Perfect emeralds are only mined and are rare emerald drops, only obtained one per ore with a fortune 3 pickaxe, but never with fortune 2 or lower. These emeralds can be crafted into emerald tools and armor, which are better than diamond but have the durability of iron. These must be made into perfect emerald blocks for these tools and armor.
