Discuss Minecraft Add-Ons and how they change or expand gameplay, worlds, mobs, items, and more. If you'd like to see an existing mod come to Bedrock, please contact its creator and encourage them to explore the Add-On API (http://aka.ms/minecraftaddons). Requests for specific mods, feature lists, bugs, and support issues will be removed. Marketplace Category is best for mashup and copyrighted content requests.

I agree why not just click a button on a add on section in the game and poof! you get an add on.

Add-ons are not officially available in places other than the marketplace so I highly doubt this will happen

100% this. I don't typically touch mods and such, did on java cuz everything worked, but I just want the connected glass texture, the one that's entirely clear like java, and I cannot figure out how cuz I'm on xbox, the marketplace lacks such a texture pack, and I can't figure out how to even begin doing what ^ said, with the creating packs and such.

I suppose a solution would be to access OneDrive through Minecraft and have an option to launch .mc(insert type here) files from a menu listing all found files of those types.

This could possibly also apply to other versions, such as the IOS version, the Switch version, and the PS version, but would realistically be tied only to the Xbox version.

If Microsoft accounts aren't tied to Xbox accounts, you'd be asked to sign into OneDrive instead, since they still share the fact that they're Microsoft owned services/games.
