Blast Furnaces Should Smelt More

Currently, blast furnaces can only smelt ores and gold and iron tools/weapons, and only two of those ores even need to be smelted. Blast furnaces should be able to smelt ores in addition to the following:

-Cobblestone into stone

-Stone into smooth stone

-Netherrack into nether bricks

-Sandstone into smooth sandstone

-Red sandstone into smooth red sandstone

Also the respective slabs, stairs and walls into those compatible (smelt cobblestone slabs into stone slabs, ETC). This will give blast furnaces much more functionality.

Do blast furnaces not already smelt cobblestone and stone?

(And yes I think this is a great idea.)
