Suggestion
- Placing a mob head (eg. creeper, zombie, skeleton) on a noteblock will change the sound to one of that mob
- This could be interesting in traps to scare players or for some more interesting noteblock compositions
Why on top?
- Heads underneath would leave the noteblock floating which would look awkward
- The top will not be fully covered, allowing the note through without breaking existing logic
- All blocks underneath play a single note so these longer sounds need differentiating to the player
More possibilities
- The type of block underneath could determine what sound is played from the mob
- Eg. idle sound by default, hurt for wood, death for stone
- Alternatively, right clicking would cycle through sounds instead of pitches
