An issue with Minecraft is that within 10 minutes you can already get diamonds and almost never need to go back into the mines. In addition to cave biomes, and just an overall update to caves, which has been mentioned a LOT recently, the farther you go underground the harder the stones get. For example, in the first level of caves would just be normal stone, which can be broken with a wooden pickaxe and above. Next, would require a stone pickaxe, then iron, all the way up to diamond (Or another ore if one was added above diamond). Alongside this, the farther you go down in the cave system, the harder it would be to survive.Though, one issue with this would be that the underground would have to be larger, so each cave layer is around 30 blocks thick. What do you guys think?
