We all know Redstone dust: Can be placed down to connect Redstone signals to one another. But what about the other powders and dusts in Minecraft? Why can’t we place these down? I propose that all powder-type items, namely Sugar, Glowstone Dust, Blaze powder and Gunpowder should be possible to place down like Redstone dust. To give this feature a purpose, each dust would fulfill a certain task:
Sugar: When on ground, would attract certain mobs within a short range. Could be beneficial in mob traps.
Glowstone Dust: Emits a small bit of light, enough to prevent most mobs spawning within a short range. Would be especially useful while lighting trails.
Gunpowder: Can be ignited and will burn in a trail, catching fire to any flammable block in its path.
Blaze powder: A cross between Glowstone dust and Gunpower, will glow slightly brighter and won’t burn itself out.
