Gravity changes to minecraft

I have noticed that players fall much faster than gravity affected blocks.

I measured the time it takes to fall 20 blocks. I found that gravity for players is 28 m/s ^2, and that gravity for block is about 12 m/s ^2.  

Also it would be interesting  if the gravity in the End was lower than the Overworld's gravity, since it appears to be a small rock floating in space.
