Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Research Table: Removing/Improving Recipes

Minecraft has gotten to a stage where it has a lot of things to craft. I do think that the recipe part of Minecraft has killed it for me. It just makes Minecraft so much easier. Back in the day when Recipe's didn't exist, if i didn't know how to make a Piston I had to google it which is what i think everyone should do now too.

 

OR an improvement to the recipe part of Minecraft could be improved.

How about having some sort of table that could be created and placed down just like a workbench is placed down. Lets call this table a "Research Table" for now. If you right click the research table it would show you a book where you can look up what you want to craft or make. This book would show you how to make EVERYTHING in Minecraft, that includes potions, an introduction to different parts of Minecraft (for example enchantment, The End and The Nether).

I've talked to a few friends about this as well and they all agreed on this.
