What is parity? This category is designed just for features that exist but work one way on one platform, and another way on a different platform. Bugs are not parity! Was legitimately gutted when I realised this wasn't possible in bedrock
Have a large map wall and half the fun of the game for me is exploring and naming places/creating a story as I go

At the very least if can be added by certain settings being changed that would be great. Or allow a beta version to be released so users can test it. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be that hard-to-find players to test it and get the results from it.

If anything, for those running their own servers allow customization of if it can be deleted by the creator of the item or operators (admins) can change when players no longer play.

Being able to add color and text to this marker was also a hugely helpful feature, and hooking it into banners, which could then be put on prominent display for castles and villages, was a stroke of brilliance. Really miss this and simply naming my maps is NOT enough!

This should have been part of the 1.13 update and it's crazy it hasn't been added yet!

Please add this for 1.20 we’ve been asking for years!

I'm hoping they add this parity soon since I love exploring and get lost easily. I've been making due with the current system but its becoming tedious and has been kinda, for lack of a better way to put it, turning me off to playing.

PLEASE MOJANG! This is 100% a parody issue that Bedrock players want! If you won't let us build on the Nether roof at least let us label maps with more detail than "Green arrow = something"

I have a villager farm for all 7 types, 2 bases & 4 farms in one large map area. I'd like to be able to indicate what is what to visitors without 5 signs around my map wall explaining everything!!

    Thank you!!!

Can you please find the time to add in this feature, being able to name different locations on a map is really helpful for new players. I'm sure you could add this in a few days if you wanted to, it's been 3 and a half years. It's as if nobody at mojang even knows about it. People reported it as a bug because it should be in the game, yet they got rerouted over here. Where now it's a suggestion enstead of a feature....

This feature would be a very welcome addition to the bedrock edition!! My maps are pretty plain with no indication of where anything is in any of worlds.

I run a Realms server for my friends and I and have a mega map laid out with all of our locations, but I can't name the locations in the maps.  It would be greatly appreciated if the Banner Map Markers was brought over to Bedrock for parity so we could make labeled waypoints for our friends for POIs.

With the addition of banner shields in the recent beta, this really should be the next priority since both features use banners. Come on Mojang!!!

Been waiting and hoping for this ever since update aquatic, that was 5 years ago now, It ruins the fun for me knowing that even though I have spent the time to build a huge map room, I cant even mark things on it. Please prioritize this for the 1.20 bug fixes if its not going to be in 1.20, or at the very least get in 1.21 somehow.

July 18, 2018, that was when this feature was added to java edition, how much longer do we have to wait Mojang?

This would be an awesome feature to add! With banner shields and armor trims customizability, this should not be too difficult to implement:

    - Right clicking map on banner adds banner on map which its color

    - Banners name showing under the banner on map

Reading this thread that started May 12th, 2019 makes me sad.  This is obviously a very popular feature on Java, yet Mojang is obviously ignoring the requests of thousands of Bedrock users and are unwilling to make this a reality for them.  I'd hoped Mojang would be different, but after 4 years it would seem they don't care whatsoever about making this much needed feature a part of Bedrock gameplay.  I too am SICK of writing down coordinates and having to keep all these notes handy just to play.  I have 3 notebooks to keep track of mine and my husbands worlds. It's too inefficient and time consuming to keep it all organized and to always have to refer to them.

we need bedrock maps that don't balloon the world file size first though. Many server ban maps entirely
