Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Carpeted Pressure plates

Let me ask you a question, why isn't there carpeted pressure plates in Minecraft? Think of it, pressure plates always ruin how a room looks if you fill it with carpet. Let's say you have a room full of light grey carpet and then you have one wooden pressure plate to open your door automatically which ruins the whole look, even with a stone pressure plate. I propose the Carpeted pressure plate, crafted with one pressure plate(any kind, retains the pressure plate activation, like if you craft with wooden it acts as a wooden pressure plate) surround by wool(colour the pressure plate with this specific carpet colour). This is the pattern:

"W" representing the wool and "P" is the pressure plate. I think that this would be a welcomed addition to Minecraft and I do hope that it gets added. Thank you.

    I think it should just be 1 pressure plate + 1 carpet

    A carpeted pressure plate would work well as it's own block, being crafted with a pressure plate and a carpet block. To make it not completely unfair, it could have a slightly different texture, e.g. having little grey or red bits to show the plate or redstone beneath.

    great idea! that would be great for my secret bases. imagine just seeing a bunch of carpet with a pressure plate in the middle, thinking that its only carpet. I just want the crafting recipe to be:

    This would be great for traps in adventure maps. Heck, this could even be used for secret rooms and passageways, like the classic "swinging" Jeb door hidden in the wall.
