Infected tree

I started thinking about the Mooshroom biome, it is a lovey but super rare biome. It’s amazing, but pointless, since there’s almost no way to survive there in survival, with the proper materials, so to start it off, I have an idea for a new type of tree to put there. (I’ll just call it an infected tree to avoid confusion) It’s a tree that will be based of the famously known as rainbow eucalyptus tree, you can collect it’s wood and shear it’s leaves for the occasional rainbow bark. (It’s not just going to be a rainbow tree though, so the bark can be used for other things I’ll leave up to you) I also want it to fit in it’s biome so maybe we could give the infected tree some chances to also drop new types of mushrooms, one a poison blue mushroom and another, a yellow one that can be used for new recipes.

  Since giant mushrooms can be found in Roofed forests, It's a nice idea to add something(plant life) more to the mushroom biome, that can only be found there.

  Interesting idea. Maybe it's just a tree stump with no leaves; a dead tree. The bark looks like rainbow eucalyptus but shows primarily the purple-gray streaks, as that is similar to mycelium. And rather than having mushrooms drop randomly, this type of wood could be the only place where a new kind of mushroom/lichen/fungus/moss grows. This new growing thing could have some use for survival (perhaps light source or potion). The wood under the bark could have the look of driftwood (bleached white or grayish).
