Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

[Crossbow] Velocity Enchant.

The crossbow lacks identity as a slow, powerful weapon with straight shots. It has huge potential as a sniper, and preloading makes it a very interesting weapon.

I propose a new enchant - let’s call it Velocity for now. Three levels - each reduces missile arc, raises damage and the speed of the shot. Velocity should be mutually exclusive from Quick Charge.

This allows for a new type of crossbow (not all will prefer the one) and sharpen the role of the crossbow.

    It would be far too strong if combined, which is why I said it shouldn't. No one would ever use a bow again. That isn't the point of this enchant.

    Leahyster, I like your idea a lot, because the crossbow is destined to be a mid-game weapon without the damage increases, however I think that the triple shot would be useless without having an enchantment to bring itself up with. So perhaps just triple shot being compatible with velocity.

    I like what you did with the upgrade but I really feel like it should be compatible with Quick Charge seeing that we don't have the Power with the Crossbow so it would be that overpowered.

    @Blast Burner, did you read the post? Velocity has a damage aspect.

    This is a damage-variant enchant for the Crossbow. Having a charge-up, pre-loadable, high damage, multishot item that charges faster than bows would render bows obsolete. Hopefully that makes more sense.

    Good idea ngl however I think this would still make the crossbow slightly obsolete when it comes to bows... because, well, a bow with power V would be better than a crossbow with quick charge, because of far more damage, and better than a crossbow with velocity, because of similar damage and ages to reload. Maybe if it wasn’t mutually exclusive to quick charge, but reduced the effectiveness of quick charge by a decent amount, then it would work quite well
