    Hi there!

We appreciate this feedback! In order to help us figure out how we can adjust things in the future - how do you see the crossbow working? Feel free to edit your post with some ideas or more thoughts to help us get a great discussion going on the changes you think would work best.

    Thanks! :)

This is true, Bow still seems like the superior weapon in every way to me.

In my oponion, Power, Infinity and Flame should be applicable for crossbows.

It's good at clearing many enemies at once, you cant hit a single enemy multiple times with multi shot and piercing, so it seems like a small amount of damage, but against multiple targets total damage becomes very high. Also, multi shot doesn't split the damage

I also agree, crossbows do seem under powered. There could be and upgrade to multi-shot one with multishot two.      Multi-shot two would shoot the arrows in more of a cluster instead of a line, like in the shape of a small triangle with each arrow being at a different point. This motivates the player to use the crossbow when they want to get close to a mob, but still be farther away to stay safe. The downside to multi-shot two, though, is that it takes longer to charge. This prevents it from being broken and overpowered.

make projectiles (aka arrows) dont bounces when you hit 2 at the same entity

please that would make crossbow multishot useful and

also fixes the bug where you make the arrow bounce when you lag on server.

I dont even think more enchantments would be necessary. I dont think the crossbow would need a power enchantment or complete overhaul.

What would make it way more balanced is hitting all 3 arrows in multishot 1. It is still less powerfull than a flame power 5 bow with infinity in long range but makes up for the lack of power enchantments in very close range. I do think tho that the quick charge enchantments should make the crossbow superior in speed regarding the bow, which it doesnt do. To me it seems like mojang forgot that the crossbow is a better bow in reallife. It could be enchanted to a sniper or shotgun like bow when enchabted to piercing or multishot which would make it way less flat.

    nah i got an idea

fletching table should get a function, that being both making iron and gold nugget arrows (iron ones have a 50% change to be retrievable after hitting a target and do a bit more damage)
(gold ones do even more damage but (alike regular arrows) cannot be retrieved once hitting a target and armour resistance is more impactful to its damage)

and also adding things to bows and crossbows, things like a pair of shears added to the table with a bow or crossbow adds a tag under it 'trimmed' so that they draw faster but launch the arrow slower
things like goat horn or iron could make it 're enforced' and give it a bit higher arrow speed and damage and range alongside more durability
adding iron or goat horn the second time, or adding stripped wood (not logs or planks) the first time would add the 'stressed' tag under the bow or crossbow (bows cannot take iron) and give it alot of power but a long drawing time

for bows, the stronger ones draw slower and have a smaller window once dawn to shoot before the shot is inaccurate
for crossbows, the stronger ones would lose durability over time whilst loaded and take longer to charge, perhaps we get an item that you must hold in the offhand in order to draw it like a tool or smth

these changes give the fletching table a use alongside
