Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I don’t think furnaces were slowed down, blast furnaces just double the speed.

You do realize that they didn't slow down the Furnaces burning speed but the Blast Furnace is the faster version of the Furnace right? Same with the Smoker.

    Apparently you said that.

I would like to comment on that while Blast furnaces and smokers speed some things up, not making the Furnace slower. The real problem is they both only work on some items, but accept items they don't work on. Blast furnace only works on raw ores and melting down armor... while the smoker is just food.

Unfortunately like i said they accept items they can't smelt, breaking many set ups unless you carefully sort what goes into where. Oh and only the regular Furnace can smelt a lot of items like Cobble Stone, Sand, Sandstone etc. Meaning 99% of people just stick with the furnace unless it's a specialized set up like with Kelp farms. Making the new blocks more of an aesthetic choice in many builds more than useful tools.
