The Nether is full of adventures and dangers, but nothing has been added much since it was added to Minecraft. Right now, the Nether is kind of bleak and colourless, mostly because we know what to expect when we enter the portal to the fire world. It’s always just glowstone clumps, soul sand patches, run-down netherbrick fortresses and endless caverns of lava and netherrack.
Maybe we can remake the Nether by adding more structures, we already seen what could be added to to End and the Overworld. We could recreate some structures of the two dimensions and theme it toward the Nether, ( for example, we could have Nether bone piles, which are Nether themed fossils) and we wouldn’t even need to add any new blocks or mobs ( but it would be better if Mojang did) and just add more structure generation.
Change up the terrain generation. The Overworld already has more than 15 biomes, and the Nether only has a few. Maybe add some sort of river of lava or something like that. Or different types of cave generation depending on its height from lava level or distance from lava. Perhaps a type of “ Overworld portal leak” and have parts of the Overworld creep into the Nether from random portal blocks that just appear and have spiders or some other mob swarm out of them.
The Nether we know today is like the former oceans: blank and kind of boring. We all know what to see when we enter our portals. Add something to the world of fire. Give it more than red and orange. Give us the colours we see added to the oceans to the Nether. This great world deserves a change. Give it colour. And bring life to the deep flames of the Nether.
