Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I like the Idea but I could see how this could be a problem on servers. And I definitely think that this could have a huge negative impact on server communities. What if it only changed the weather within a radius of the structure (I hate player built structures BTW Just keep it a block IMO ) but if it must go the player built structure rout I suggest building it like a beacon stack and the more layers you build the bigger the radius up to a hard limit.  Back to using this on servers this item should be able to be turned off in server.properties.

If I might Expand on this Idea a bit further Could we also make a block that prevents rain / melts snow with in a defined radius too?

Four to eight ghast tears is a bit much for a temporary effect. I would suggest the effect be permanent, for short radius.

If it is possible to change the weather locally then I'll absolutely approve that suggestion. I didn't write anything like that because I wasn't sure if such limitation to the weather can be made.
