Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Plain Boxes

I get that we already have chests on donkeys and mules and that we already have shulker boxes but it would be nice to just have plain boxes. Since most of us start off with a "temporary home" where we keep all our items until our new home is built I feel like this would be a great addition. When your moving your things from your temporary home to your permanent or new home you can use boxes to transport things. These can also be used as decoration for builders. They have as much space as a single chests and, when broken, don't drop the items places inside. They can also be used as fuel when you've finished using it. To craft the box you just need one wooden plank.

    well, that would be too OP.
    Beside, it would also make shulker box a trash, which mess the game up as the shulker box is a late game item, you must do a hella lots of stuff like entering the nether to finish off the dragon and find the shulker with your own risk!
    In my opinion , that type of box should exist but not replacing the shulker one.
    Here is my idea, for early game ,the "plain box" should be called the wooden box . That's mean, we will have about 6 type of wooden boxes or 8 if include nether's wood .(and ofcourse portable and nonstackable)
    To balance this and also avoiding shulker box rip off, these wooden box will only have 3-6 slots for item, and ofcourse cannot be placed inside shulker box nor the wooden box itself.
    And with that in mind, definitely the wooden box is smaller than a chest , remember there are 6 (or 8) type of wooden boxes from different wood type, these boxes are great decorations.
    Regarding the recipe , i suggest it should be made with 4logs(single type), 4 leathers and a tripwire hook (or a chest , baley).

    Lastly, the main idea behind this is actually quite simple. I want a form of a gift box but not as expensive as shulker box.
