Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

It's true. I've seen knee-high hearty grasses growing in beach sand & in gravel pits.

Yeah your right irl grass grows on the hills at the top of the beach maybe it should be if you place dirt under the sand

I'd say it would maybe need to be a new type of grass. something like a retextured wheat style shape dark green in colour.

Id like to see two kinds of grass. Dune grass, which just kinda pokes out of the block, very sparse, and beach grass, which should be two or even three blocks tall, and grow densely so moving through it can be dangerous when a mob is also in the patch and your vision is obscured. Shearing it and crafting it could give you a thatch block 🤷‍♂️🙏🏻

Love this idea! Maybe it could be called Heather or Reeds, as a potential callback to the original name of Sugarcane? Expanding on your idea as well, it would be great to include putting Grass on Gravel too!

Perhaps make it a separate block and have it be a unique feature of beach biomes and give it a different texture.

I think you shouldn’t be able to grow grass on sand, but you should at least be able to place grass on it.
