Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Berry Jam

Since Minecraft announced Sweet Berries in 1.14 update, they can only harvest, grow, eat for 2 food points and breed foxes. How about giving more usage to them?
In my opinion it's about Berry Jam.

Berry Jam
- craft with 4 Sweet Berries and 1 Glass Bottle

Bread with Jam
- craft with 2 Breads and 1 Berry Jam
- result get 2 Bread with Jam and 1 Glass Bottle
- Food

    Berry Jam would also need sugar to sweeten it, and maybe even to be cooked in a furnace before it is made. It could maybe even have a cooldown period before it is fully done after being cooked.

    The bread with jam idea would be good but I think it should maybe be a little different in recipe and result. Maybe for the 2 bread and 1 made jam in a jar you would result in 18 slices of jam covered bread slices and the empty jar? Just food for thought ;)

    Why stop at sweet berries?
    Apple Jam, Chorus Jam, and Melon Jam too!
    A crafting recipe or furnace might not make too much sense, but luckily were also getting the barrel, which could be used to craft preservers, which could convert the fruits and sugar into jam.

    i think that it would be a great idea, as berries are not really a good food item, i also think that berry bushes needs a balancement, instead of being planted from berries, they would have to be sheared, it's also annoying to accidentally plant a berry bush while trying to eat a berry, berries are really an unbalanced food source

    Berries are junk food (low hunger and saturation points), and you can collect them in large amounts.

    That`s why they need to be an ingredient for more complex food.

     

    6 berries + 1 sugar = berry jam

    3 berries + 3 melon slice = fruit drink

    I was thinking 2 berries + 1 sugar = Sweetberry Jam

    Sweetberry Jam + bread = Sweetberry Scones 

     

    Regardless, we need Jelly!

    Berries with sugar from sugar cane (or honey) and a glass bottle could yield jam. But berries would also be great for making pies, since we already have a pie template with pumpkin pie. None of these would require new items but a good use of existing items.

    Also a golden berry jam! I think one bread and one made jam could produce 8 bread with jam. Also while we are talking about bread creations, sandwiches with meat like mutton and ham!

    I started a new game in a spruce forest. There was not a lot of grass to gather seeds for wheat but there was a lot of sweet berry bushes.

    Food was sparse and eating the berries took a long time to get back to full hunger level.

    It would be good to have an upgraded (cooked) version of sweet berries and jam would be a good idea.
