It make more sense to have a glass bottle of milk then to have a bucket of milk.

You know that in real life farmers use buckets to get milk, and not straight from the bottle right?

I agree with having milk bottles, but maybe going about it in a different way. I would suggest getting the milk from a cow with a bucket, as you normally would, but then to be able to transfer the milk to a cauldron. You would then use a glass bottle to retrieve the milk from the cauldron. This would follow the same mechanic as filling bottles of water (and also potions in Bedrock Edition).

As for a reason why having milk bottles would be a good idea, I believe that milk should be treated the same as potions, seeing as it can be used in combat. Whereas potions can be used to add effects such as fire resistance and healing, milk can be used to negate effects such as poison and bad omen. In addition, it also just makes more sense to drink milk from a bottle, instead of a bucket. It just feels silly to gently sip a delicately concocted potion from a hand crafted glass bottle right after chugging milk from a bucket, all during combat.

I agree with your opinion. In real life Most people drink milk using a bottle instead of a bucket. Bottles of milk should be obtained through the milk buckets on the crafting table or in the cauldron. Bottles of milk should also be different milk bucket, where the milk bucket is able to clean all the effects, while the milk bottle only cleans one effect, mainly negative effects

While milking a cow with a bottle seems more unrealistic than the bucket, I think this idea is better overall. Not only could you drink it to recover status conditions, but if you could brew it into a splash milk bottle, that would be even better, especially in PvP (both for removing positive effects from your opponents and negative ones from teammates).
