Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

"Glasslogged" slabs and stairs

Similar to waterlogged blocks, glasslogged blocks would let glass panes or glass blocks occupy a space with slabs or stairs. To glasslog a block you simply right click it with a glass block.

This would be extremely useful for builds with arched windows, railings, fish tanks, peepholes, etc. Currently arched windows need to be either very large, or 2 blocks thick with the glass being placed behind stairs/ slabs.

When mining a glasslogged block you pick up the item you're aiming at. For example, if I were to mine a glasslogged slab and I was aiming at the slab, I would break the slab. Once the slab is broken the glass simply fills in it's space.

    This seems interesting. Glass-logging isn't exactly the best name though. Maybe it should be called "Window"

    Great idea! I've wanted this for while as well. However, I think there would be a programming problem with the addition as you have described it. Currently, there are no blocks that can occupy the same space as another block. I think there is some technical reason behind this. Instead, Another option is to have a separate recipe for stair blocks that have glass built into them. The only problem with my idea is that it would open a whole can of worms where EVERY stair and slab variant would need a separate block ID for the glass-filled variant.

    I was about to make a suggestion of having panes connect to slabs and stairs always, but your idea is better!

    This way the player can decide whether they want the panes to connect or not, or even have just one pane in the slab/stair. Much more customizability & player control.

    THIS! This is what I have so desperately needed every time I have made a larger build! I ALWAYS do arched windows, but then I can’t make the glass connect and it looks really bad. Especially with stained glass. This would make it look so much nicer!
