It would also be good to have infinite beacon render distance option. It would be extremely nice to have this to mark locations, especially with the addition of colored beacons

YES!!!! I thought on the 360 version (maybe on PS4? Idr if I've ever activated a beacon on my PS4 worlds yet tbh) when I played way back in the day on that version my husband (at the time lol) and I used the beacon like a location marker to find base from far away when lost. I was upset when I tried in bedrock on Xbox1S and it couldn't be seen from very far at ALL. Beings as I have no way to mark my map with locations like they can on Java that's be nice to have again.

This was a great feature I had on the Xbox edition that is not present now on Windows 10.

Having a number of beacons visible over the world would look lovely as a show of a growing presence.

Perhaps beacon visibility could be switchable so for multiplayer, range can be reduced to reduce visibility to other groups for defence.

The beacon was visible from a long distance on PS4 edition but that was removed with bedrock. I see no reason for it to be nerfed as it did not cause lag in ps4 edition.

On Wii U edition, I could see the beam from hundreds of blocks away, even when the chunk it was in was unloaded.

Here I have learned to not take that for granted.

Instead of being visible from 300+ blocks away, the beam disappears when you leave the 60 block radius of its effects. I can't even see it abruptly stop at build height because I'm more than 60 blocks away.

Sad that I can't look at my beacon spectrums from a distance.

    Please change this.

Especially on realms for bedrock rendering could be improved overall

A Beacon by definition should mark locations with high visibilty for long distances. Java can be visible from many blocks but at a 60 block visible range on bedrock is useless as a beacon :(  especially with the limited ability we have for marking maps.  Please consider giving us farther beacon visibility on bedrock!!

Current beacon rendering makes absolutely no sense, java has at least normal rendering of a beacon, Xbox 360 has even better, and for some reason bedrock has by far the worst. Why would an item with the name "beacon" have a beam with a shorter rendering distance than a regular block? The height and brightness of the beam would make it a marvel to be seen from a distance in most bases, however i cant even see a beacon that I've places 65 blocks underground. Never mind extreme rendering like some others have suggested, what about just standard rendering instead of it becoming invisible at 64 blocks?

This is sorely needed—there should be a slider for it that maxes out wherever your render distance for all other chunks is set to. If I can see the platform at all, I should be seeing the beam, too…
