Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Battle Axes

Since there's going to be another combat tweak soon, I figured it would be cool if it had a new weapon. One of these new weapons could be the Battle Axe. It could be crafted with two sticks and five of the same material. It would still be able to cut wood, but now could be used as a powerful weapon. It would pack quite a bit of extra damage, but it would also be slower and have a longer cooldown compared to a sword of the same material.

    I agree, I also think that the battle axe should give you a higher chance of receiving heads or skulls from a mob.

    Maybe the recipe could be different. Like, two sticks and 5 of whatever material you make it out of.

    The battle axe is a great idea but I think it should be that the axe does more damage than a sword, but has a longer cool down. Also I think you should be able to charge the axe by holding down the attack button like charging a bow or charging a trident. Charging the axe does a lot more damage and charged shots should increase the drop rate of mob heads. Also battle axes should be crafted the same way an axe is currently crafted but instead of doing the axe head pattern on one side of the crafting grid, you do it on both so it would cost two sticks and 5 of the given material.

    i was just thinking of this bechause i love axe pvp but swords just destroy them so why not make a battle axe with more dammage then an axe and the same attack speed

    there could be 2 axes, the regular axes is faster at cutting trees and is slower in battle while the battle axes are slower at tree cutting, it's faster than an axe but not faster than a sword and not more than a sword. it's double-sided, and it can be thrown, dose more damage to the wooden shield and wooden tools, it can also prevent knockback but they're a little cooldown, also the axe can get stuck in enemy shields unless you can give it loyalty like thor hammer or trident. you can also give it channelling so u can be thor lol. also trident would be more relied on for the riptide for flying so it doesn't make them obsolete.
