Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    Instead of having the arrow place a torch on impact, what if the arrow turned into a torch variant upon collision with the ground? It would work similar to a normal torch, but it would be a block that looks like the arrow stuck into the wall.

    This is an awesome idea especially with the new caves and cliffs addition. When you get hit from out of nowhere it would be nice to shoot an arrow in the general direction to see, if just for a brief moment, what is trying to kill you. EVERYBODY VOTE FOR THIS ONE PLEASE!!!!

    I would like to prevent mobs from spawning in areas while I am at a safe distance.

    Great way to enhance exploring large caves. It could be created with a torch, an arrow, and a slimeball. It could also be that extra use people have been wanting from the fletching table.

    Combine Arrows with Torchflowers with a Fletching table to create these ‘Torch Arrows’. Projectile lighting in caves would be a great advantage to discovering new spots in the far away dark areas.
