Underground: Topography

Crevasses should form horizontally as well as vertically.

If a crevasse or sink-hole is open to the sky, then a layer of the biome should line the bottom of it.

If the roof of a cave is only (eg) 0-4 blocks from the surface, then the floor of the cave had a chance to match the biome.

Some cave systems could replace (or overlay) the 'floor' blocks with a specific block.

Ansite, granite, diorite would be spread down a cave, forming the majority of a cave system's walls and ceiling (rather than found in clumps)

Underground rivers would flatten the bottom of some cave systems and have water in the middle, occasionally these would end/open into underground lakes.

Ores & coal should form in spread out, 1 tall bands rather than clumped. (Gems stay as clumps)

Random blocks one above cave ceilings should fill with water so that it forms drips (especially above any standing water in the cave)

At deeper levels, bone blocks should have a chance to form in lines, distributed like rare ores are.

    I like it, perhaps we can have a few new cave blocks, like stagamites and stalacites. These would form near underground rivers and other water sources. Mining them could give a special type of mineral.
