Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Marble

For mining and for building we need new materials marble would be a great use for this you could implement this however you would like

    Considering 2 very popular mods (Chisel and Astral Sorcery) add Marble as of JE 1.12, it is kind of surprising it hasn't been added to the base game yet. Marble has been a thing in modding for years (ever since Red Power, by Eloraam, as I recall), but despite being a real-world material and probably exceedingly simple to implement (it's literally just a block. Even if we include variants like marble bricks, it's still no more complicated than Stone + Stone Bricks + Chiseled Stone Bricks + Cracked Stone Bricks, recipes and all), it's not seen any attention from Mojang. I wonder why?

    same issue applies to Basalt, by the way, which exists in Project Red and Chisel as part of volcanoes and lava lakes, respectively. Again, this would be a simple change, and in the case of basalt, it would also reduce the need for a "cave update" by adding a tiny bit of variety.

    Depending on what my search results turn up, I make combine a few smaller suggestions like this and any duplicates of it to make a more substantial suggestion. If I do, I'll post a link. 17 votes just isn't going to do it

    Perfect for caves and cliffs. It should generate in the new mountains, maybe it can act like a mirror in RTX?

    I honestly think that marble is such a good idea! I think you should be able to have white and black types of marble (along with chiseled, polished, etc.). I would love if you could just go to a furnace and smelt some diorite!

    maybe the black marble (portoro) could be added along with the white one
