Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Blast Furnace: Glass Creation

Why does the new blast furnace not allow you to smelt sand into glass? I like using the two new furnaces to smelt ores and cook food respectively, but at the moment I have to keep a regular furnace around as well just for this purpose, which is quite annoying. I would suggest that either the BF should allow you to make glass, or there should also be a specialised "glass furnace" for us greenhouse and skylight enthusiasts!

    The blast furnace should cook more than just ore. My thought was It should be expanded to cook stone-type blocks like cobblestone into stone, stone into smooth stone, Netherrack into Nether Brick. Technically Sand is tiny stone particles, so Sand to Glass could be included as well.

    either one of the things you said should be added. I think they should just let minerals be smelted through the blast furnace but if not then I have an idea for what the glass furnace should be called. a glass kiln because they are used to make glass in real life using heat.

    Maybe not "Glass Furnance", but a "Block Furnance" that also smelts terracotta and cobblestone.

    Please make a “kiln”! You could make stone type blocks (terra cotta, bricks, netherrack, and GLASS) in a kiln faster than a furnace- the furnace is sooo slow

    YES I agree! I have a blast furnace, but when I try to make glass in it it just won't work and it's SO annoying!

    If you’re that concerned with how long it takes to smelt, just make a autosmelter with an infinite fuel source and just afk

    I agree with this and I was wondering the same thing when I was playing I think it makes since to add something that would normally burn that hot in something like a kiln

    yes i agrea blast furnace should make more than just ore like glass and stone it makes it more easy

    or an oven for glass and stone
