Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I don't understand why this doesn't have more support on it? This would be so nice to have on Java edition, it really should have existed since maps were added back in 2011. Being able to see your Overworld location on a map in the Nether would be so helpful, and even more so if portal creation was made easier without having to create two portals in similar locations in the Nether and Overworld.

Linking nether portals would be way easier with this, if you didn’t want to do all the math.

I really like this feature. This is really useful on bedrock. If you buy a treasure map from a cartographer, you can go into the nether to find the mansion or ocean monument very quickly, since it will show you whether you would be at the structure when going into the overworld. I often use this meachanic for this on bedrock.

huh... you know, this actually must make sense. Since like, you travel faster in the nether because you are closer to the planet's core (and thus make smaller circular envelope), the overworld map must indeed (if we're okay with it sort of having a "GPS" pointer from the beginning) show just us travelling 8x further
