The new utility blocks in minecraft have really nice texture, and could be used very well in decoration in a house. But in many cases, the block you place is in a wrong orientation. This is because those blocks are not rotatable. I am talking about the crafting table (yes I know, not so new to minecraft ) the fletching table, the smithing table, the cartography table and the stonecutter.
Those 5 blocks don't have a "facing". That means they can not be placed in any direction, but only one, making them very tricky to use for decoration. I have few example to show you :
On the right you can see some pretty walls, and on the left the reason why you can't use them in your houses.

This would make a great desk... but I can not grab my maps, or even see the globe.

"how am I suppose to fix this weapon without my hammer !?"
In those example, we can see that the block is still usable, so this change might be only aesthetic, and so it does not change so much the game. However, it is possible to rotate the end portal block, or the furnace, so why not every crafting blocks ?

All this adition do is add a little plus in detailling build, and make life a little prettier in minecraft.
I don't know anything in code, but I think it might be easy to add this "facing fonction" to all the crafting blocks, considering the fact that they all work like a furnace.
