So i've been having issues with the language filter hashingout entire commands in my command blocks.

Language filter needs to be a gamerule on boolean.

HOWEVER!! I found a work around.
The filter is targeting the name spaces and tag spaces for your targets. So things like @e[type=piglin,name=CC] is NOT acceptable. So add quotes like so below

    @e[type=piglin,name="CC"]

Even though the quotes are intended for when there are spaces in the name space. It solidifies and isolates it to keep the system from getting confused.

Let me know if this helps you.

they censor words that don't even make any sense in my realm, like"salvian" "cedarwood point" and "north to main rode" like what? they also censor the word gay which is just flat out homophobic. gay isn't a cuss word anyway.

This should be a per-person setting if you ask me. I am playing on a realm getting ready for New Years and Minecraft won’t let me rename potions to things like champagne.

I play in a two person realm.  Both people are adults. Yet we have to deal with the censored chat. Its really ridiculous and at a minimum should be a player or realm option

READ THIS COMMENT IF YOU ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. I FOUND A WAY. I had this same problem with typing commands into my realm, but there is a way to get around it. Regular commands typed into the chat will work, but command blocks and signs will be censored. In a personal world that is NOT a realm, it will not sensor these things. So what you need to do is download your realm, go into the downloaded world, and type in whatever you want to type into a command block or sign etc. Then you re-upload that world and the sign or command block will not be censored. Pre-existing signs and commands that are uploaded to a realm will not be censored. This is a kind of long and annoying process, but it has been very useful for me.

You can not write the word gay on a sign which is very homophobic because you can write straight on a sign just fine. homophobia has no place on my minecraft world and it is time for a change.

I paid for this game, and I should have freedom of speech, you should make it so you can put a 18+ warning on worlds where cursing is allowed, it should be toggleable in the world settings (ie Censor[Off | On] or [18+] for Realms or Worlds, you do realize that the reason grown adults prefer java on phones is because bedrock has these stupid restrictions, IT'S SINGLEPLAYER FOR GOODNESS SAKE. WHO IS GOING TO BE IN MY SINGLEPLAYER WORLD BESIDES ME!!!

if it really bothers you u can edit the file in the game called profanity_filter.wlist and is found

    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_1.16.22002.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\data\profanity_filter.wlist

you change it to .txt and just delete the words from the file u want to be removed, just remember to change it back to .wlist

edit: Sorry if you are on console or mobile device I'm not sure if this works for you

btw it only works for you and only you can see the words uncensored

Bardicrealms' idea is good, but if you play Minecraft with a child account you can't even go online by the default parental controls.

the censor makes writing down cords to things in game nearly impossible on a book & quill

Censorship in a game like this is genuinely understandable, however, it’s becoming a little overwhelming, im not sure what I can and can’t write anymore in books, im trying to create a country where people live in survival and everyone who lives in my country gets a state issued ID, but, as of last week “ID” seems to get censored, along with a huge amount of other nonsensical words that aren’t swears, including names, but here’s the worst part, it’s one thing when it blocks out the word with “###” but it’s a whole other when it randomly decides to delete an entire page because it dosnt agree or it decides to get rid of all the spaces and paragraphs in it, my entire survival realm and country and friends country, our world we have built over 3 years, is effectively crippled as it relied on books, and now it’s impossible to write in them without some sort of hiccup regardless of the books context, please fix the issue or make it an option to toggle censorship for non child accounts, please, I want my beloved world to function again

A solution I've found is to just delete the profanity list which is in fact client-side, however you do need a rooted phone for this, as it requires the modification of the base.apk file
1st step is to go into your phone's root directory with your chosen file explorer (in my case, total commander) and you'll need to navigate to the /data/app/com.mojang.minecraftpe folder and extract the base.apk file to any of your normally accessible folders
2nd step is renaming the base.apk file to base.zip so you can open and edit its contents

for the 3rd step you must open the assets folder within the zip file and find a file called "profanity_filter.wlist"  and just straight up delete it
you can now rename the zip file back to "base.apk" and overwrite the one that's in the root folder with it

I completely agree. I loaded up a single player world on Windows 10, I found a sign in a chest I didn't need. So I placed it and wrote the f bomb. I think it's ridiculous that it was censored. Especially in a single player world.

Yes, Of course we should be allowed to have parental rights over our own, private unsolicited server we call home. I play on Minecraft every now and then, and never had a complaint over the years of updates until THIS. This has caused me stress. I used to join Minecraft servers full of people on Java edition. I would ONLY go on servers that were not censored. If they were, I would leave. There’s something about being on a server that’s censored that takes away all the fun. I am an adult, I shouldn’t have to be censored and quite frankly, neither should the 6 year old cussing at the tv screeen. . Let us have the option to decide if we want censorship ON PRIVATE SERVERS At the LEAST! Love u mojang

I tried to type on a sign on my realm
I wanted to say "it takes 20 minutes for a cow to grow up"
It censured "it takes" please explain why that would not be allowed we cant even use normal English in the game to communicate!
On a realm signs are important to leave messages for other people in your community its just fustrating
It wouldnt be hard to make it a toggle option for the realm owner. i wish i had more options like this for my realm

I am trying to make a book on potions, but it sensors the words 'redstone'/'redstone dust' and 'glowstone'/'glowstone dust'. I have tried to work around it multiple times, but the inability to click around the page to edit has made it a huge chore as well. I can't figure out what the issue is with Minecraft's own item words. It also randomly deletes pages if they don't fill up the whole page and have one of those words censored.

they censor 'swallow' and 'inside'... those are just words to me, nothing inherintly bad. "I was inside a cave, and it feels like it might swallow me alive any second." "It's inside the left chest." "chew and swallow" i know they can be used badly, but so can every word if you're up for the task. Lemme write my silly little novels without having to dodge censor bars. >:(

It isn't the best but for now, spacing letters works for most words

My unnamed iron sword was censored for some reason, and I do think it's kind of ridiculous that a game that anyone of any age can play is being molded into a game for 12-year-olds

    Yes.

I play on bedrock realms and anything I put onto a sign is erased, and anything I name in an anvil turns into a bunch of hashtags (########), and I think the same happens with books and quills.

The weird thing is that it still censors on singleplayer? Like WHAT?

My brother and I were testing the censorship on a realm we own and now we are both silenced as all of our messages are hidden by the server. A feature for server owners to disable censorship would be much appreciated. At least let us control the automatic server actions taken against players.

They should just completely remove it since it's a stupid feature, anyways

The feature is fine if it's a more kid-friendly world but it should be an option. Just today I found out on bedrock windows 10 edition the filter applies to structure blocks, specifically the name of the structure.

Short version, I used a short form of typing Japanese. But because the first three letters in the string it marked it as an offensive word. It was a Japanese-style house if you're wondering. It should be optimized to not affect structure names or made optional.

Definetly needs a toggle on or off, Bedrock Realms are sensored way too much it's very annoying, tamed a white horse wanted to name it White Lightning couldnt see the harm in that but apparently there is as all u get is ##### ######## ..I can call it lightning alone, my realm members cant even type my username as the first word is "tainted" and that word is sensored on realms, words are country sensitive and seems like they are trying to sensor every bad word they know worldwide. It forces ppl to use other means like discord where theres no filters at all.. shame :/

Please explain how "5 min 38 sec" is getting censored. It's very frustrating to try to write anything with the current content filter.

I don't need "N16" censored when I'm trying to make a grid system for a map wall. For some reason "C18" is also being censored (I'm assuming it's a reference to the music disc but it's a pretty poorly thought out one at that). I just want to be able to use curse words as an adult.

Even for people saying that cursing is bad, the censor blocks words that aren't even inappropriate, I tried to rename MT sword to MT blade and it blocked it..

I think mutible levels of censors would be great where words are organized by how offensive they are and players can turn off some of the lower levels and truly offensive words could stay permanently blocked.

But i'm fine with anything instead of the current janky censor system
