Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Crafting Sticks into Wood (Mini Idea #1)

This is just a very simple crafting idea that would help you survive in a place like the desert.
You should be able to craft 4 sticks together in a 2x2 format to make 2 wood planks. This would allow you to take your overload of sticks and make them into planks so you can survive in the biomes where wood is scarce.

    This, while seemingly-insignifficant, could be a very great addition. Maybe, to compensate, it only produced 1 block for every 4 sticks. I imagine the item would be like a "bundle of sticks" and should probably look very rudimentary, as if you were trying to put together the sticks in any way possible. It'd be useful for making tools and other things that require wood or even just transform a lot of planks from different types into half as many bundles of sticks. Regardless, it's a neat concept and, coupled with a way of renewing dead bushes, would allow some interesting desert maps and adventrues.

    With leaves now having the ability to drop sticks in 1.14, it would also be a really good way to get rid of the excess that is sure to pile up after chopping a lot of trees.  I do think that 4 sticks should only give 1 wood, though.
