Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Barrels vs Chests

The addition of barrels in the game makes chests kind of useless as barrels are a bit cheaper to craft and can open while having other blocks on top of them. As an older player I would not like seeing one of today's most essential blocks of Minecraft not being used by players and eventually disappearing.

    barrels aren't cheaper. they cost 6 wood and 2 slabs. that means you need 9 wood for one. when making 3 its cheaper because it costs 21 wood in total but chests are just easier and better for the start. i think barrels are kind of like mid to late game storage and the only problem is that they don't connect to form one super barrel.
