Deflection with swords

in 1.8 you were able to deflect arrows and decrease melee attack damage with your sword. but now we have to craft a shield that uses pricy materials, but with a sword you could make wood swords super efficient and cost effective. don't take out the shields though because they still help a lot.

    They take out the sword deflection because of the off-hand interaction problem. That is, you would still use the right click function of the sword rather than the shield’s. But, this can be dealt with particular coding for the sword, for example, if you don’t have any thing in your off-hand, you can deflect with the sword.

    Good Idea if you can also do it with axes.
