These dragons spawn in dragon dens (this is a link to the dragon den page) that are generated in wooded mountains and plains biomes. The shade of green of the dragon will match the grass of the biome it spawns/hatches in. It would be more brown than green if it was hatched in a desert. They are neutral unless provoked.
A wild dragon would leave the den to hunt every 1-2 days and will go a max of 10 chunks before returning, unless they find prey such as sheep, cows, skeletons, or rabbits. They would always return to the same den even if there are multiple dens right next to each other.
The way you could tame these dragons is by stealing an egg from a dragon den after all 2-3 dragons leave the den to hunt or by killing them all. If any entity (other than a dragon) enters the den, all untamed dragons become hostile toward it. After you obtain a dragon egg you must place it in a "nest" a 3 wide by 3 thick by 2 tall "block" of hay bails/leaves with a block taken out of the top center which is where the egg goes. After around 3-4 minecraft days, the baby dragon hatches (the closest player that is in sight when the egg hatches will be the "owner"), in which it has three growth stages 0(baby) 1(matured) 2(adult) feeding it any kind of meat other than rotten flesh (which it will not except) will make it grow faster, but you can only speed up each growth stage by four pieces of meat per growth stage.
At the baby stage the dragon will only follow you around and hunt rabbits. When it passes this stage it will drop 2-3 Green plains/mountain dragon scales. At the matured stage the dragon will start jumping off things and gliding to the ground from short distances, but will also start hunting cows/sheep. After it passes this stage it will drop 4-5 Green plains/mountain dragon scales. At adult stage it will attack anything you punch (other than the ender dragon) but otherwise nothing. The dragon can only attack if you are not riding it. Wild dragons will attack skeletons for their bones.
To ride the dragon you would have to go searching for a dragon saddle in a dragon barn(post coming soon).
These dragons (at adult stage) are the size of horses, they can glide from 10 to 20 block distances from a height of five blocks with you riding them, without a rider they are more comparable to the distance elytra's have. It can run while you ride it (if you double tap "W" or press Ctrl+w while riding).
It has different stats that are random like a horse. But unlike the horse it is better at leaping than jumping, it has a jump that is a constant of 1 and 1/2, and a leap that ranges from 5 to 8 blocks that is activated when you run and jump. health that ranges from 15-30 (half hearts), armor that ranges from 7-12, speed that ranges from 0.1-0.2 (using the attribute "speed" as the measurement), and an attack that ranges from 4 to 5. It cannot have storage equipped on itself.
They would drop a fair amount of xp, so that if you were empty it would fill you to 4 levels, and 1-2 dragon scales when killed.
To heal the dragon must attack and kill something.
