I was playing in the new snapshot in a raid when a creeper exploded and gave me a idea. After the creeper exploded I had the idea that there could be a TNT Pillager. The TNT Pillager could carry a block of TNT and exploded walls of villager houses. When its TNT explodes it is gone and the pillager gets a wooden sword and loses half of its health.

Very nice, but perhaps in hard it should have more TNT before it runs out.

Somebody needs to deal with that pesky player building walls around the village...
Do we really want another "world griefing" mob? What if the player decided to build a custom village him/her-self? This mob would ruin their (probably time consuming) build(s). I think that if you do decide to implement this, make it so that it doesn't destroy blocks at all.
The PrimedTnt entity would have to have a Pillager tag so that if mobGriefing is off, the TNT simply does damage, no block damage. I think it should only spawn on Normal+, and on Hard, should have 2 TNT instead of 1.
I think this would be better if the TNT raider was made into a separate illager mob instead of a pillager, otherwise great suggestion!
I like the idea of a pillager that can break into house but my honest opinion is that there should be a holster who can break into village houses but rather than that I think it should have a axe or something that could break wood, sandstone, cobblestone like a shield bash because tnt doesn't fit the illagers so I think one with a shield and sword that can bash to break blocks
I was going to post something similar because this is a great idea! the biggest weaknesses of raids is that you only need to build a 2 block wall around the village and then your completely safe. this addition makes raids much more formidable for end game players.
Finally, an actual risk to raids, seriously all you have to do to protect villagers in raids now is literally trapping them in their house with a single block
What about a normal villager that trades with tnt. You can trade it tnt for emeralds (it only asks for tnt), but after you level it up once, into an apprentice, it turns into this tnt pillager and starts attacking the village on a one man operation. It should give you a good deal (like one tnt for 3 emeralds, or something) but if you kill it before ever trading with it, you can get a short hero of the village bonus.
That would counter the simple 2 high wall defence of most villages that people put up.
this is actually great idea , if you've done raid before
you know that if you put ur villager behind 6 walls ( 4 walls , roof and floor )
with no doors , its 100% safe , even fixes cant get to the villager
so you just remove the doors and ur village is 100% safe !!
so with tnt pillagers will make it actual challenge to defend the villageor even better idea : illusioners have the ability to destroy blocks
which gonna serve the same purpose as tnt pillagersI think it’s kinda OP so... it should either have tiny damage to walls or not many of them in raids.
Yes I think this is a great idea. There should be up to three in raids, and they could be used to destroy buildings or take out heavy targets.
That's a really cool idea. I really like the concept of the wooden sword after using the TNT.

Maybe they could implement dynamite, which would be throw-able, and would be used by the TNT Pillagers. It would have a far smaller explosion than TNT.
So are suggesting the Wall Breakers from Clash of Clans?
I I think they should be called Berserkers and when they blow up they die but another Illager appears so the amount of mobs in a raid stays the same. The second type has an iron sword and a chance of having a certain type of iron armour and/or shield is called a Destroyer.
I think it should be called something else though.
I like it, but to avoid frustration I think they should only explode their TNT if the structure is within 15 block of what is considered a village by the game or if a structure is completely blocking their ability to path-find to the village. This way any structures beyond that border that don't completely block their path are safe.
My idea is: 10% chance of replacing a Pillager. It would have a wooden sword as a weapon. Also, it would sometimes go find a bed or a profession block and would set off TNT next to it. Its supply would be 1-3 TNT.
I like the idea, but I will politely not support it, for reasons.
1. If they destroy blocks in villages, it will be really time consuming to build it back up. And also, this counts for custom villages.
2. It acts too similar to a creeperExactly. It would be similar to creepers. That is why I suggest 1 in 10 chance of replacing a PILLAGER (not any other illager) and I also suggest a supply of 1-3 TNT.
TNT Pillagers. Interesting idea. However, this would make raids MUCH more difficult.
