Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Expanding Leads

Currently you can only tie a lead to a fence if it's also tied to a mob. Leads are useful now as is, however their usefulness can be expanded upon by this one simple addition. A builder building, say, a city could use them as telephone wires. You could create a "construction site" using leads to block off areas as if it were construction tape. You could create a queue path as you would see at a bank or store, perhaps.

Perhaps these leads could act as simple barriers for the blocks their in, making someone have to jump over them to get behind them... or they could run through them and break the lead from the fence. Whether you want to burst in or sneak in could be up to you, the player. 

Whatever the use, I believe this can further expand Minecraft's already expansive building potential, and would make a very fine addition to the game.

    I hope the lead can be used as a rope,which can help player up and down with the tie.;It can attach any entities;It can connect two entities;It can be thrown out to catch entities.

    I had this same idea, it would be really nice for the builders! Of course there will have to be a limit to how long the lead is.

    They could be used to hook onto and hang/swing from fences. It would be cool to swing around like spiderman, but they would have a short range and could snap if you are moving too fast.

    Signal boost!: my main concern is that I have one million leads that are kindly donated by so many Wandering Traders in Bedrock, and I'm sure there is an ingenious way to expand on an already awesome item.

    Leads could be used as functional chains in some ways - 

    • Connecting two minecarts
    • Connecting boats
    • Dragging boats full of animals while rowing a chest-boat
    • Connecting mobs to other mobs e.g. dragging a herd of cows / horses / mules / donkeys / llamas etc. around
    • Connecting mobs to Redstone-Slime-Block machines by letting a fence being pushed by a piston keep it's attached lead.

    Maybe in order for leads to function like this, players have to combine Leads with Chains to craft Reinforced Leads or Functional Chains (or whatever they may be called) to function like this instead, while having conventional leads remain how they are. I believe this could really make life easier in the game, while adding a whole bunch of small mechanics to everyday life in it.

    Those ideas are nice, I would just simply like to be able to attach a lead fence to fence
