    I'm also here! It's also strange to me why Microsoft didn't offer an alternative for downloading addons. So now I use MCPEDL and ModBay. But lately I prefer to use more https://modbay.org/ because addons, maps and resource packs are pre-moderated and there is content that is not on MCPEDL. Any other ideas?

    Well, if there were to be an official addon site for whatever reason, it's not like they're magically gonna stop monetizing them, so just use the Marketplace, ig.

    How did I get here? I'm a Java player... that Sonic Addon was just so cool...

    Sounds like the Marketplace, but free. It would make more sense to just add more free content to the Marketplace, but that doesn’t seem very likely.

    Sadly, this won’t happen, because Microsoft just wants to maximize their profit from paid Marketplace content.
