Hold on, the Z key views the current mob effects in place. I was thinking you look down, sneak, and then right click (W10), or tap a hotbar button that says "sit down" (mobile), or look down, sneak, and then "use" (console version). I totally do approve of slightly better healing, though! :D

@Jfacemcsmashems Good point there about the "Z" Key, but honestly, that sounds incredibly obnoxious. It should remain a simple toggle key on PC, just a separate one... or perhaps a Shift+Z would work.
What would work on Mobile & Console versions is something I don't know.

I agree we should have a sit button, or maybe even an emote menu that includes sitting animations. I don't think it necessarily needs to heal the player though.

@Mc_Rat It's not that the sitting action would heal you, but that it would simply quicken any healing that would naturally happen & slow down the tick of any status damages inflicted.

I'm sad that this only has 7 votes. This is my most wanted feature and has been for years. The sitting "animation" is already in the game for boats, horses, etc. so it seems like it'd be really easy to implement. And as Mc Rat said, it doesn't even need to heal.

I agree that there should be a button to sit. Here's a bonus: When sitting near a tamed wolf it will become happy and circle you excitedly like a real dog would.

Generally resting to heal is over a longer time period, and I don't think this is generally useful to the game
